First, get local medical help and then call Travel Assist Network through the 24 hour toll-free hotline or call collect if you are out of the country. Once we have been contacted, our customer care agents will get to work managing your case from hospital admission to release. Our medical staff will determine the next course of action by working in conjunction with the attending physician providing medical history, allergies and other critical information. We will also update your family of your condition and relay any messages. If you feel uncomfortable with the level of care you are currently receiving or if it is determined that the medical facility in which you are being treated is inadequate, we will facilitate your transport and cover the costs. Once stable, and it is determined that you wish to be flown to another hospital anywhere in the world (even back home to your local hospital) we will facilitate and cover the cost of the air ambulance service.  There will be no forms to fill out and no claims to be made. In addition, we cover the cost to fly your spouse and/or dependent children home. All of this peace of mind, freedom and security is included in your Air Rescue Card membership.    Scenario: Medical Case Management Your illness or injury is not serious enough to warrant a medical air evacuation, an extended hospital stay or you are treated as an outpatient.  You are still entitled to all the services and benefits that our coverage offers. Our medical experts will monitor and manage your case from hospital admission to release. We will cover the costs, including ground ambulance to an appropriate medical facility and provide all medical assistance necessary for your recovery. From foreign translation to emergency cash disbursement, we will help you feel as comfortable as possible during your time of need.   Scenario: Non-Emergency Service You have no need for emergency care or medical assistance but just want information and local intelligence on a variety of issues. Our services extend from hotel arrangements to legal referrals to travel safety and precautionary advice. The 24-hour hot line is not designated solely for medical emergencies.
